The Grand Canal capsule collection consists of paintings and mirrors that draw inspiration from Venetian architecture, rich in polychrome inlays and decorative elements.

The project develops on the play of colors and on the contrast between smooth and rough surfaces. Poetic reinterpretation of the windows of the palaces of the Serenissima which, on canals or in the squares, capture sunrises and sunsets.
Patricia Urquiola estudió arquitectura en la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid y en el Politécnico de Milán donde se graduó con Achille Castiglioni. Trabajó con Vico Magistretti y más tarde como jefe de diseño de Lissoni Associati. En 2001 abrió su propio estudio en Milán, especializándose en diseño industrial, arquitectura, dirección de arte y consultoría estratégica.
